S1 Ep135: Our Addiction to Control

I have been in the grips of physical and mental "control addiction" for a lifetime. Well, for most of a lifetime. Through loving, patient, and consistent work on myself, I have been able to let it go to a large extent.

Control begins as a kind defense mechanism allowing us to perceive "fake safety" as a way to get through life. But when we become aware of the fact that it's hurting us more than it's helping us, we are at a crossroads. Today we discuss this very normal way of "handling" life, what to do when it's not working anymore, and why awareness of these patterns is key to growth and change.
